El Derby Español

Soaking wet awaiting the match of the year between Real Madrid and bitter rival Barcelona. Arguably the best match in the planet between two clubs. Here Pol and I during the pre-match festivities with Tower B of the Santiago Bernabeu as a backdrop!
The streets were full of Real Madrid fans (us included) weathering the elements just to see the bus with the players enter the stadium. We couldn't find affordable tickets (some were scalping tickets for 400 Euros a piece). We had to settle for Hard Rock Cafe Madrid and some nachos to watch the game.
In the end Real Madrid won 2-0 with two goals from Raul and Van Nistelrooy! Ala Madrid!!!

My birthday!!!

Today was my 26th birthday!!! After a very busy day at the University, I went to the theater to watch a play "El metodo Gronholm", a very entertaining comedy. Then, we went to Hard Rock Cafe Madrid to eat! It was an excellent day! I really enjoyed the whole day!!! Thanks to my friends here, Pol, Carlos, Claudia and Lucia who shared the day with me!
I also received Happy Birthday greetings from some of my friends! Thanks to Clau, Luis Alfredo, Kary, Quique, Nanos, Cric, Carito, Dani, Nico, Montse, Diana. Also Baheru, Helina, Israel from Ethiopia and Erina, Erin and Aaron; I really appreciate the fine gesture!
And of course my lovely family! Thanks Mom, Dad, Levi and Mauri, tia Daisy and tia Sonia! I LOVE YOU!
Here, the Hard Rock Cafe Madrid crew made me get on the seat and they brought me a cake and sang Feliz Cumpleaños to me! It was a lot of fun! Well, considering that the restaurant was full and everyone was watching me!

Day trip to Toledo

Here before taking the high-speed train to Toledo.

At the RENFE train station in Toledo!

Overview of the town of Toledo. Toledo was Spain's capital until 1560, during the period when Spain was considered a world power.

Walking around Toledo

An SUV can't go through Toledo's narrow streets!

Actually, back in the day, people built their homes so close together to keep the sun out and the town cool during the summer! The street was big enough to ride horses. Never they imagined we will move on from horses to automobiles!

Swords and other weapons used in the trilogy “The Lord of the Rings" were made in Toledo.

Don Quijote in Toledo

Here I am posing with Don Quijote!
